Katherine Ntiamoah Class of 2008 Hometown: Munster, IN Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, and minors in African Languages, Political Science, and Ethics and Social Action Katherine Ntiamoah has been selected to serve in a public diplomacy summer internship at the U.S. Embassy Kinshasa in The Democratic Republic of Congo. During her internship she will be handling media outreach and press inquiries/event for the Ambassador and visiting VIPs; helping with culture events on subjects relevant to the U.S. foreign policy agenda in D.R. Congo. Under a grant from the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the Embassy is also filming a serial drama and writing a textbook for English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers. |

This year-long position in Governor Mitch Daniel's office begins July, 2008. Mr. Whittington also received the P.J. and Hilda W. Hill Award. This $5,000 is given to the outstanding senior on the IU Bloomington campus who has done the most to "better race relationships on the IU campus" during his/her undergraduate career. |
