The McNair Scholars Program at Indiana University Bloomington prepares low-income, first-generation and minority undergraduates for graduate study at the doctoral level.  Each year, 25 McNair Scholars participate in academic year and summer activities that include research and teaching experiences.  The McNair Scholars Program aims to increase the number of groups underrepresented in doctoral programs.

The McNair Scholars Program is fully funded by a  five-year $960,172 grant from the U.S. Department of Education.  Indiana University contributes $1,015,924 in cost share funds over the same five-year period.

LOCATION

The McNair Scholars Program is located in the Grad House at 803 E. Eighth Street. We are one block from the IMU between Woodlawn and Park.
